If it's the review that ran in Computer Shopper several months ago, you should know that it was somewhat biased. Performance of both systems was tabulated, and the Wedge came out a sorry second. Why? Because the Palomax was driving an RLL drive, the Wedge an MFM (which accounts for a 50% speed increase right there). Actually, "biased" is too strong a word. At that point in time, the Palomax did have better software support, and initially the Wedge was NOT recommended for RLL drives. Considering the lead time required for a national magazine, it's probable the reviewer was working on the best facts he/she had at the time. Anyway, I mentioned the Wedge in response to a 1000 hard drive thread (I THOUGHT… if it was on 2000s, I apologize!); you'll have to ask Larry Phillips about 2000 Wedges, as I don't know.
