MM Authoring Software
2 messages in this thread
I have begun to enter the DTV world and like a lot of people, I have very
limited funds. Therfore, it is very important for me to buy the right products
the first time! The last week I have been reading everything I could find on
Multimedia Authoring Software and have narrowed my choices down to 2
(Macromedia Director 4.0 for Windows and Assymetric Multimedia Toolbook). I
would like some input from people who have experience with these two packages
and IF these 2 software packages were the same price, which one would they
prefer to work with to produce professional multimedia applications?
Thanks for your time & input!!
Tommy
I would recommend Director 4.0. This is an incredible program and it seems to
be really catching on. When I see free lance jobs they usually ask for
Authorware or Director experience (both Macromedia products).
I have Toolbook as well. This is not as sophisticated as Director, as far as I
can tell. There is a book in the bookstores on Director, I think its called
Director something or other. You can get an idea of what it can do.
ALso there is another book that gives you a CD roim with a full version of
Director 4.0 without the save function called Multimedia: Making It Work by Tay
Vaughan, a really good primer. CHeck it out.
Good luck
