#a4000 wanted

After 4 months, a lot of promised ship dates, I finally got my A4K from
computer answers. It seems that they take orders on product that is in route to
them. In my case the in route 4K's became EC/030's that i had to pay an
additional 565.00 to upgrade to the 040 "because they came from another
source". I paid it gladly just to get it in my sweaty hands on it. They came
through but be prepaired to wait…
I can't say I'll buy anything from them again. If it wasn't for the absolute
need I would never have continued to deal with these guys.

If you know someone else who needs an A3640 board (040 CPU) for an A4000/030 to
upgrade it, let me know. I have one only available. $500.
Dear Jack,
Sometimes promissory dates are real tough to meet as everyone always wants it
yesterday, and there are always many pitfalls when it comes to relying on the
winds of fate to bring futuristic proposals to fruition.
I think the main issue here is lack of communication. It's really alright if
something doesn't come on time. That happens to us all, and just as sure as we
convict someone else we turn around, and unintentionally, or otherwise, do the
same thing to someone else. As long as the seller keeps tabs with the buyer,
and lets him know what gives, every once in awhile, that's the best we can
expect at times.
It's either that option or request a refund. If that doesn't work than just go
up, and slop some Easy Off in their under wear.
I'm glad you finally got your maysheen son, and I hope it was worth the wait.
I also think that there are those who are excellent at the technical end of
their operation but lack savvy when it comes to dealing with the General
public, and that is exactly what kills, an otherwise ok business.
Take care, and good luck sir, and thank you very much for your input.

Communication is the issue alright. When some one tells you that they have
received something in stock and your order will be processed by x-date then two
weeks latter the story starts all over agian….. when your told that the
product is in stock and your oder is being processed i humbly think there is
only one interpitation! Computer Answers pulled the switch on me after they had
my money for several months. As you said ,"why aren't they at the bottom of the
lake in the trunk am old Buick". I think it would be a wasted of a buick but i
guess you wouldn't have to worry about the bodies foating up latter on,
HUH…HMMMMMMM
Humbly

Dear Jack,
My you , and I are getting a tad morbid aren't we?
Bodies in trunks, bodies on the surface. What next?
Well at least you finally got your dream machine after the long nightmare.
I have one of those cutesie deals going on right now with a mute resource in
Tucson, Arizona Sent the guy lots of hula dollars over 4 weeks ago, and no
news from the peanut gallery yet. All he has to do is touch base with me to
say "yes it's going to take about 6 or 7 ice ages before you receive the goods
sir", and that'll get me rrrright off his keester..
I myself have a customer base of 1500, and it aaain't easy touching base with
all of them but it's gotta be done, and I don't have a cute receptionist
sitting here sippi'n on a shake, and polishing her toenails. Just yours truly,
and I look like a victim of progeria from the lack of rest syndrome.
At any rate mein friend I 'm glad you did finally get your unit.
Gonna plug a toaster in it? OOOOOhh how about a warp engine or 2, or six.
Come oooon get wreckless!!
Did you get a chance to go to the Amiga fest that Dale Larson mentioned?
Naturally I missed it. I can never seem to get out of here for a moment.
Probably toasters there fo about $20-, and then a free Opal Vision kit tossed
in along with about 5 Emplants. We have a local computer fair here but it's
all IBM so not interested.
Maybe someday I'll give you something like an intelligent exchange. This 18
hour a day crap is really making me a wee brocht silly you see.
Take care Jack, and keep in touch.
