Is there a way to render a Flic using the "Palette -> High" setting but have
3DS3 retain the temporary targa files ($FRAM000.TGA, etc..), in other words
not-delete the targa files after converting them to an 8 bit flic?
I realize you can render out targas instead of a flic, and then compile them
into a flic later by putting them in an IFL file as a background bitmap in
3DS3, and doing it in two passes in a batch file. But it would be a miracle if
I set it all up to work without failure unatttended over the weekend….

Well, he could run it through video post and have a line in the queue that
would set the file attribute to read only, or just move it some place else,
couldn't he?
