To Betty Clay 76702,337 I have used XModem to download file lha138.run. All
appears to have gone well in so far asa it got to the end, but one error was
noted as CRC error at block 282. Does this make the file unuseable? I have
transferred it to my dh1 for now without further action.e
Peter,
When you see an error, it means that the sending computer has had to re-send a
block to the receiving computer because of some error. If you see only one or
two of these, your file should be fine. If there are very many, it is best to
stop and start over.
Now that you have LHA138.RUN, copy it to ram:
Then, CD RAM:
Then type:
LHA138.RUN
When the activity stops, type:
COPY LHA C:
(That puts it in your commands directory, always ready for use.)
Then, copy the doc files to a floppy or convenient spot on your hard drive.
You're doing fine!

Thank you again. You gave me this info previously but I did not act on it yet
due to the <error> possible. I will do so tomorrow then try Comp.B to get the
Autopilot download.

Best way to find out is to try unpacking it. Copy LHA138.run to ram:, cd to
ram: and type
lha138.run
If the archive is ok it will unpack itself. You should copy LHA to your C:
directory and read the docs. If the file isn't alright it won't unpack and you
should try downloading it again. I'd suggest using Ymodem or CISB (or better,
B+) instead of Xmodem if you have to d/load it again. Good luck!
