#A3000 needing warmup?

I have an A3000 and C= 1950 Monitor, around 2 years old.
For the last month or so – the Monitor has waves on the
screen for the first few minutes (up to 5 minutes)
after turning the power on. After that, it is fine.
I believe the problem to be in the Amiga – rather than
the monitor, since I have turned on the monitor previous
to powering on the Amiga (for 5 minutes previous) and
the waves still appear for the same amount of time.
Any possible clues?

My guess would be that it's the monitor. To prove this, you might try
hooking up the video output to something else, or maybe even turning off
the de-interlacer to see if the monitor works better at 15.75KHz. When my
1950 started acting up, I was able to use it w/o the deinterlacer for a
while, but I finally ended up taking it in for service. Commodore has a
swap out program available. My own experience and messages that have been
posted here about being unable to get schematics/parts for the 1950
indicates that the swap out is probably the best way to go. (Mine lasted
for about 1-1/2 years.)

I don't know about 1950 parts availability but the schematics come in the
box with 1950s (at least I got one with mine).

You got one of the early 1950's, right? Maybe that's why a schematic came
with yours. I didn't get a schematic in the box with my 1950.

It's not particularly "early" — got it about 18 months ago.

I'd guess it is your 1950 — they are very unreliable.
About 6 months ago my 1950 started becoming unevenly illuminated — on
power on the left side of the screen was much brighter than the right.
This normally corrected itself after being on for 15 minutes or so but
getting longer and longer until eventually it never cleared up. About a
month ago it started losing sync — would happen 4-5 times a day. It
would come back after 5 minutes — again, over time, taking longer and
longer to come back. 2 days ago it didn't come back. I went out an
bought a SVGA monitor.
