Can 3DS be used to render complex shapes like bones? I've got
digitized data from ridges and surfaces of vertebra (spinal bones). I
can import the data into AutoCAD, where they appear as 3D polylines.
Some of the arcs touch each other and forms loops, but most are just
lines in space.
How do I mesh surfaces that cover the digitized data. Does anyone
know of an automated method to shrinkwrap a set of curves to form
renderable surfaces? Many thanks to any reply.
Hard to say exactly what you've got to work with by your message, Ed,
but if you have contours that describe a top and side view, along
with some representative cross-sections (or _only_ a complete set of
cross-sections), you should be able to come up with a pretty good
bone in 3DS…
