#DTC -SCSI EISA Card
2 messages in this thread
Hi Bryan,
We've just purchased a TRI-Star CAD system which has a DTC scsi
controller. I'm having problems getting TAPE backup (scsi – Archive Viper
2525s) to work with this controller. I have a similar system at home, but have
the Adaptec Controller AH2742t and it works with everything I;ve tried. Does
CORELscsiPro
Tape Backup support, or will it work with the DTC controller? I'm really
looking for a windows based program, with scheduling / unattended features.
I used your software before on a Maxtor 800meg optical WORM and was
very pleased with the results, but I would like to be sure that I have
compatability before I commit. Is there work in progress on DTC's part to be
COREL SCSI compliant?
Thanks for your time…
TomC.
Tom,
The DTC 3280 is certified with our software and so is the 2525. The 3290 is in
progress. If you are having a problem with the software, trouble shoot
standard SCSI problems such as termination and cable length. If you are
getting a message that says that the tape is not recognized or unsupported, you
can edit the TAPEDRV.DAT file. In here simply increment the line number, add
the SCSI enquiry string, and at the end add a number (after browsing up the
list for a similar 525 MB QIC drive) that corresponds to a QIC type of drive.
(I don't think that this is necessary with this tape though.)
I hope this helps.
