3D Studio R4

I called my Autodesk dealer and asked him about AutoCAD R13 and 3D
Studio R4. He told me that a new solid modeler is included with
AutoCAD R13 at no extra charge. He told me that most new features in
3D Studio are for creating animations. I asked him how much money to
upgrade AutoCAD to R13 and he said "$500". Where can I get $500 to
upgrade AutoCAD to R13? I am not sure about upgrading 3D Studio to
R4. Jeffrey.
Did you try asking your mom for the money?
Dear John, I tried asking "Mommy" for $500 but she said no. I don't want to rob
a bank or ask people who own expensive cars for money. Jeffrey.
Jeffrey,

Very wise, very wise. The trick here, Jeffers old bean, is to get good
enough to make _money_ from Autocad and 3d Studio – even if this is
just on the side after your normal job. They are really too expensive
to use for hobbyists, unless you are wealthy. Once you start making
money from your Acad and 3ds work you will be able to sell your work
and buy the upgrades, otherwise stick with what you have 🙂
Hey, Jeffrey, Don't rob a bank for only $500. If you are going to
take that kind of risk tell them to at least FILL a bag with money.
I'm sure you'll get more than $500. <BG> Around here, one can indeed
stand on a street corner with a sign that says "help the homeless"
and they can easily rake in $300 – $500 in a day. The local paper
did an expose on this. They spied on one "homeless vagrant" and
discovered she makes a full time job of being homeless, drives a VOLVO
and lives in a well to do neighborhood. Figure that kind of income
is better than animation work any day of the week and its all cash
income.
A sign that says "Help the Homeless", raking in $300-$500 per day…
Geez, I've had it wrong all this time. My sign says "Will Render for
Food". Not nearly as successful.
I don't believe you did that because with your good looks you'd be
arrested, except in Nevada. <BG>

Speaking on behalf of the entire state, I canl say that we'd never
arrest Michelle no matter what she was doing. However, you should be
aware that Rendering IS a crime here, and the usual defense of "It
was only a harmless loft" just won't get you anywhere.
I'm glad to hear Nevada is so forgiving. I was once arrested on
charges of "public squashing and stretching" at a particularly wild
St. Patrick's Day party in the Irish section of Boston.
The judge, upon seeing my previous conviction on charges of "creating
smoothing groups with intent to perform multiple morphs", threw the
book at me, which unfortunately happened to be Inside 3D Studio. I
spent my entire sentence in a coma.
When I recovered, the prosecuting attorney, who was impressed with my
testimony, approached me on the sly. It seems he was learning Animator
Pro and wanted some private lessons in multipolygonal polymorphic
tweening. Ha! I told him to go swap himself onto the spare page. Guys
like him deserve to be sucked into Windows and turned into wallpaper.
What have I fallen into here? Being similar of mind, but usually
stiffled, as well I should be, you people are a terrible influence on
me. Having adequate IPAS Lightning applied to frontal construction
plane, I morph materials to transparent and polymorphic silence
<cutting cable to keyboar*
>I was once arrested on charges of "public squashing and stretching"
Oh, Michele, I would have loved to see that…
I have plenty of comments, but being a gentleman, will just leave it at that.
However, if you have any pictures…
Mike!!! a) my loft is not harmless. If Rendering is a crime here, I am
close to public enemy #1.01a. Now you are speaking on behalf of the
entire state? And on an election day? What monster have I wrought? b)
Instead of advanced 3-D animation, perhaps a sedative <LOL> Now, for
the serious question. Did Adam contact you with regard to helping him
learn Ani-Pro?

Ooops. A Nevada lurker? I thought I was the only person in all of this arid
land who actually had 3DS. Surely I must be the only one who owns all the Yost
group IPAS stuff! (And don't call me Shirley).
If you are actually asking ME if Adam contacted me to learn Ani-Pro, I'd have
to ask who you are, because I don't know you from Adam. Or Adam, either. Did
we meet at the UNR graphics group? (I never forget a rendering, but faces and
names I'm terrible at).
Mike… you said:
(And don't call me Shirley).
Can I call you Keith?
Kevin Gibson
<Nevada Lurker> Huge larf over here Mike. Not only did I mistake you for
another Mike Kelly, but now that I think of it, his name might not be Mike. You
see, I too am terrible wiht names. Anywhooooo, me be way over East, NY,NY,
where lots of us have all the IPAS Disks, but few have learned to control 50%.
Indeed, Adam, not of Eden, but Manhattan, needs assistance and now I have to
figure out who this other <Mike> is. See what happens when one gets involved in
the "real" world? Well, enjoy orthogonals under a Nevada moon, maybe Vegas can
spring for a few P90s with 256mg for ya!

Is this a rhetorical question, or are you looking for specifics? I'd
say where you get it depends on your ethical and moral values:)
