JEC > Do you have any neat words that start with 'M' ??
JEC > — James E. Coulter — M________ Animation Productions —
Mr. Coulter,
I take it you have some kind of interesting logo with the letters M A P.
I've contemplated your query and came up with the following:
Obvious:
Memorable Mythical Magical Magickal
Mystical Mystickal MissTickle
Mind-blowing Mind-bending Mind-expanding -> (MagicMushroom)

P.S. As soon as you do decide on a name, GO TRADEMARK on CompuServe and
check to see if its already in use. Then secure an application from the
U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, fill it out, send it in with $245.
Get back to animating.
So many M's! Say… why not M Animations? Works for me, I'd hire him.
Greg.

Hey, can I use that quote in my brochure?? <G>

Sheesh! My reputation preceeds me! <BG>

Wow, thanks for all those great ideas, Kevin!! You know, you thought of
several of the same names I did.
>> I take it you have some kind of interesting logo with the letters M A P. <<
Actually, no. I just really like the acronym MAP. It is easy to remember, and
fits in with the whole texture map, reflection map, bump map, etc. terms
associated with animation. The downside to the name (spelled out) is that it
is long with many sylables. So, along with the "M" names, I am also
considering some short, one-word names.
I am also hoping to get some good out of this grief. It will give me a chance
to do an overal image uplift (and an excuse to send mail to all of my customers
:-).
>> (MagicMushroom) <<
Ha! Do you read any Castaneda !?
>> Mercenary Animation Productions <<
This is great. I wonder, though, if my customers would show up requesting
tactical animations of enemy installations. "We're going to take out the SGI
camp . . ." 🙂

>> Millenium Animation Productions <<
This one has some serious potential. It is now a top contender!!

<ROFL>
>> MammaJamma Animation Productions <<
Say that ten times really fast! <G>
>> Mach5 Animation Production <<
I thought of one with "Mach" too. It has an interesting ring to it.
>> Mom's Animation Productions <<
But they are not Mom's, they are mine!! <BG>
>> Mutant Animator Production <<
Probably the most descriptively correct name so far -;), but my customers might
be afraid to look at me!
Seriously, thanks for sparking up some new ideas for me. It is easy to get
burned out on the whole name thing. After a while, nothing sounds right.
Thanks for the info on the CIS database too. That will be helpful when I
finally make a decision.

See my response to Zac!

I dunno. I can just see everybody voting for a really awful name just to be
funny! <G>

Brent.
POP!
Definitely!
It immediately reminded me of how they demo'ed the IPAS routines by blowing
everything up.
It would serve you well if you produced
interactive Point Of Purchase kiosks.
POP! Kiosks.
I didn't know you were in Hotlanta.
I imagine you checked in last week at the show.
POP! Multimedia
Take care man.
I'm sure I'll see ya around.
KG
Yeah, I was there for a couple of afternoons…bought the Bousquet
series of books, the upgrade for Animator Studio ($150!), joined
NAAUG, and bought the t-shirt. They really emptied me out! I with
there was more 3D oriented stuff there. Heavily CAD oriented. POP!
doesn't refer to a type of marketing…refers to a certain rather
obscure rock star. See ya, Brent Bonet

My first guess would be Iggy Pop but he's not that obscure. How about
Pop Will Eat Itself? Actually, there was a band from LA called The
Pop but they're possibly too obscure. How about the Pop Group, a
seriously angry British punk band (These guys put out records like
'For How Much Longer Do We Tolerate Mass Murder')? Doubtful that
you'd refer to an obscure NJ band, Pop-O-Pies, but they did have a
humorous tune, 'The Catholics Are Attacking'. Alright, Brent, I give
up who's the dude?
I loved the Pop-O-Pies. They had an album photo of them punching
Jerry Garcia in the face – he actually did pose for the picture and
was a fan of theirs. John "make this batch with extra grease, this

You've got my kinda musical taste.

Well, Bob…judging by your taste in music, the Igster might not be
obscure but to your ordinary Joe….You win the big prize. Actually
I never should have given up the secret. Let's just keep it between
you and me. DOH! This is public! Brent Bonet – POP! Multimedia

Brent, are we taaawk'n about "Feeling So Outgunned Today" or Butttown by any
chance. <ahhhhh, even Ceaser needs to rest now>
Nope, it's from Lust for Life!! Actually I picked up TV Eye Live on
CD today. It's in my quest to produce "Iggy Interactive". I have a
feeling a lot of people are going to be upset when they download this
thread on Monday! Brent Bonet – POP! Multimedia Atlanta
