Dear All, I'm having difficulty locating 3D Artist here in the UK. Does anyone know how I can get my hands on a subscription? U.S. or U.K. info would be fine. Thanks Ian

You could go straight to the US, or you could subscriber via: Screen Artist Ltd Westmead Road Sutton Surrey SM1 4JH 081 642 1370 I subscribed via US, but for you the above might be more suitable. Christophe Van Oyen Belgium

Christophe, Many thanks for the info. You're right of course, Surrey will be easier than the US for me. Its great to hear from someone on this side of the water who has an interest in 3DS. I was beginning to think I was nearly all alone over here 🙂 Thanks again Ian

Ian Hi ! from Australia ! I've been having trouble locating 3DS users in the UK as you have, are 3DS heads a very rare breed over there. We tend to feel a little isolated from the "action" in th US down here too, however keeping up on E-mail is a great help.Perhaps you could answer some questions for me ..Whats the 3DS scene really like over there? How much work is around?..What sort of work?..What type if work do you do?..What is the going rate for a 3DS freelancer?.. Where are you based in the UK? I know of someone (very close to me!!!)who is interested in returning to the UK to work. Peter Bailey.4Di Melbourne Australia.

Peter, Boy, am I glad to hear from Oz on the subject of 3DS. My wife and I are emigrating to Sydney in the new year (well October, 1995) and I would love to begin to understand the 3DS scene in Australia. I am hoping to get into a business already using 3DS in oz in order to better understand the uses it is put to over there. Is there anything you can tell me to make the passage to an oz based 3DS job easier? I must admit that I am new to the rendering game and am still feeling my way here in the UK. I would suggest that the UK is not in any way as saturated with the 3DS-ers like the states seems to be, with the market for animation here dominated by the high end broadcast houses. I don't know how long that will last though and I do believe that there is an ever growing market for the likes of ourselves in the UK taking business from these more expensive enterprises. (If anyone disagrees let me know as I am happy to be corrected)
