I was looking at the image of the DigiMax and had a couple of questions I'd like to pop out in the open. It looks pretty cool, but I doubt if it's big enough to put my car in to digitize <G> sooo… 1) What are the physical dimensions of the DigiMax? Size/Weight? 2) What size objects can the DigiMax work with? Is weight or construction of object a consideration? 3) Is the digitizing process manual (turn the knobs?) or automatic? (like click a button to digitize?) 4) What type of device is it? Serial? Parallel? SCSI? Will I need a special card to use it? 5) What is the depth resolution of the Digimax? Forgive me for not knowing how to phrase this properly, but I'm wondering how well it would scan an object with many protrusions or indentations and how well it would handle this. I'm curious about it's capabilities and limitations. Sorry for the dumb questions, I'm really just getting started and may not have phrased my questions well. Thanks for any information! Objects about 18 inches long and the same around weight is a problem if its real heavy things like heavy plaster objects and so forth, but there are no restrictions to material type > 3) Is the digitizing process manual (turn the knobs?) or automatic? (like click a button to digitize?) The process is manual, but the software makes this process very simple > 4) What type of device is it? Serial? Parallel? SCSI? Will I need a special card to use it? Serial, no special card at all. 5) What is the depth resolution of the Digimax? Forgive me for not knowing how to phrase this properly, but I'm wondering how well it would scan an object with many protrusions or indentations and how well it would handle this. It will be difficult to do very small things and some things will never get the right res, but it is very accurate and we have found no real problems with most objects, cars, planes, boats, dolls, vases, etc Hope that helps. Erich We begin shipping in about 2 weeks, or 10 days, the hardware just went to the guy who paints it, that take about 3 days, then zoom out they go. If you want one of the first ones, I would order now, I think there are about 10 or 15 left form the first run, the next run is 8 to 10 weeks out. Mike

Joao The digimax is about two weeks away from delivery. WE are finalizing our software, the cost is $1000.00. The accuracy is to 1/32 of an inch with a 1/64 of an inch in percision. Mike Halvorson
