Is there a way to superimpose a flic file over a bitmap decal say a photograph so that the opacity of each image would be equal. I know you can use the alpha channel to allow an image through a single color and that's not the effect I'm looking for. I wnat to see both images completely at the same time.

In Video post, just put the two entries in like you would in a normal composite, and in the alpha slot for the second entry, use a 50% grey still image as an RGB mask. You'll then get a 50/50 superimposition of the images. David

Hi! Try using the material editor. Experiment by masking the animation texture over the image texture. Using this technique I was able to animate water on an Earth map appled to a sphere. Then by using opacity I applied 75 % transparent Image File List (IFL) of time laps clouds over the entire planet.
