Hi! I am a member of NASAU Beach (Northern Alabama Society of Amiga
Users) and I am working on our first newsletter. I am inviting you, fellow
Amiga users, to not only join our club so that you can receive our FABULOUS
newsletter, but also to submit articles about the Amiga to our newsletter
for publication. We don't pay for articles, however you do get to see your
name in print and of course that means you will be famous! We are also
looking for original clip art, computer jokes, computer tales (you know
that time your HD: crashed or the time your Amiga saved your a##!). To
submit something to our newsletter you can upload it to our club's BBS at

I previously left a message here requesting information on other Amiga
user groups. I am the president of the new SouthEast Arizona Amiga User
Group and we're looking to beef up the content of our newsletters. I
suggested that we form some type of network between user groups so that we
can use each others articles, columns, reviews, cartoons, editorials, etc.
This means that if some user group gets a hold of some nice piece of
software or hardwar that your user group can't afford, you can still print
a review of it in your newsletter. The Macintosh User Group News Service
works like this and I think we need someone to get this kind of thing going
in the Amiga community. My expensive long distance calls to CBM have been
fruitless in this area.
Maybe a new area here on Cserve where we can upload (in Ascii) our
articles and maybe we can also start a little more interaction between user
group. Like, when we want to all call CBM or some non-Amiga magazine that
printed a stupid or unfair review about the Amiga, we can get the word out
quickly and get our user groups involved. Also, we might get to talking
about buying up CBM stock and voting it as a block so that we might have a
little more say in the future of |he Amiga.
These are just ideas, but I'd like some feedback.
In the least, maybe your user group and mine can set up some kind of
newsletter exchange. Ours will be diskbased so that we can have full color
pictures to go along with our articles. Also, we kinda like using the
power and versatility of the Amiga to it full potential.

I think that this is a great idea. An international user group network
would disseminate news, reviews, etc. so much more quickly than waiting for
the magazines and word of mouth. I can help set up our local user group
(Metroplex Commodore Computer Club – MCCC – Dallas/Ft.Worth) on this
network. We could use Compuserve, or more cheaply, Usenet, to pass
information back and forth, OR the user groups could get their own accounts
on Compuserve or something like that. We cold also have people connect to
GEnie and BIX.
We would have to find someone in each group who would be able to call one
of the online services on either their account, or get the user group an
account and check it regularly for information.
Anyway, I'll quit babbling. Keep me informed, though, as to what is going
on.

and try to get some other user`s here in Germany to participate! Pls let me
