As far as C compilers go: SAS (formerly Lattice) – street price around $200 Manx Axtec – street price probably less than $200 DICE – shareware, registration fee of about $60 All of these should work with the A1200. Of these, the SAS is supported better than any of the others. They recently released version 6.0 and are the compiler of choice for CBM. I am not real familiar with the Manx product, but I haven't seen any new releases from them publicized recently. DICE is a very capable compiler, but lacks some of the features of the others. One benefit of DICE is that there is an evaluation version available (probably here on CIS, definitely on Fred Fish) that is only slightly crippled. I think the only real limitation of the evaluation version is that it won't allow you to use floating point numbers. A fair amount of the freely distributable software available was developed with DICE. Bill

Kelvin, I think that all the major C compilers will work on the 1200 with no problem. Happily, compiler writers are pretty clued-up people when it comes to writing code, unlike certain games writers. The flagship is SAS/C. I see from later messages that you are also in the UK. HiSoft are the UK distributors. I think that it will set you back >200 UKP, though.
