I have an Adaptec 1542 and a Sony 541. Called Adaptec because I need to
read a single session photo cd. At first I could not convince them that a
Kodak photo cd was not a cd-rom drive! That over with, they could not tell
me when they would start to work on a photo cd driver. Have no plans to do
so yet. I have their ASW-410 driver it works ok but when you put a photo
cd in the drive it thinks the drive has no disk in it.
They tried to sell me an upgrade to EZ-SCSI for $29, but could not tell me
if it would read photo cds, said I would have to try it!
After more than 1 hour on the phone I was fed up. I guess their doing too
well to care for their customers?
