What is the quickest way to create a donut-shaped vapor emitting in a radial direction using Vapor IPAS? Kind of like a smoke ring. I've tried using the Emitter with Burst, but I am not sure what commands to give. I've tried lowering Rise % to 0, gave Time 60 frames, set Life Span to 30 frames and the animation is 60 frames long, but it is not working well. I figure it may be quicker to try here than to try a hundred different variables. Thanks.

Hi James, <<vapor — smoke ring>> here's what you'll need to do. 1) either create a new cube or delete your emmitter points from your existing cube. 2) go into the 2d shaper and create 2 concentric circles, then assign those two shapes and go into the 3d editor 3) CREATE/OBJECT/GET SHAPE to bring the shape into the editor — now you have a set of points in the shape that you want the vapor to emit, a ring 4) rotate the object and scale it into your cube, then attach it to the cube. 5) set up your vapor settings and render away I made a quick one and used parallel emmitters it looks pretty good. i trust this puts you on the right path 🙂 -Kyle
