#Road Surface Map?

Does anyone have a road surface (freeway map) with dashed white lines?
Thanks,
Alec Jason
Alec,
About your freeway map, I used CorelDraw, you could use a paint program also,
to create a symmetrical map that resembles about the same length of road that
3DS is using for the faces on the freeway (i.e. the number of dashes or dots
per face) then I face mapped the freeway. Depending how you created the freeway
the orientation of the faces which compose each lane might be rotated 180 deg.
to each other but this was not a problem as long as the map was symmetrical.
The map had a 15% grey background with a gradient from center out to create
the grime in the center of the freeway. Then I used 1/2 circles of white for
the dots/lines in the road these became circles for the lane dividers. This
process looked great while driving along about 4' off the surface at 60 miles
pr/hr.
Mike,
Thanks for the map tips. I was hoping there was such a map available.
I don't need it now. The problem has been solved.
Thanks anyway,
Alec Jason

The last time we needed a freeway, we found it better to create the dashes as
2D objects than a map, FWIW.

Thanks, Greg. I think you're right.

P.S. Thanks again for the referral to the other Greg. He's been doing a great
job for me.

Well, there goes my quota for December! :^)

I'm glad GregV is doing well by you – any time you can highly recommend an
opposing attorney you know he's done a good job! Next time you talk to him,
tell him I said hi, and that I'm looking for my 10% cut with my Christmas card
from him! <bg>
