#Keying question

Ben,
We have footage of an actor against a black background. I'm using
Imagemaster and I'm trying to key-out the black background, make that
background completely white, and alternately change all the remaining
colors in the image to black. I want the result to be a two color (black
against white) matte.
I am able to key out the background and make it white using the
color-keyed selector to make a mask. Is there a way to invert the mask in
order to operate on the remaining pixels?

BTW, if there's a way to complete the above process on an entire directory
using an AREXX script with multiframing, I'd love to hear how one might go
about doing it. Anyone out there have a script I could use for such a
keying operation? I would think this was a common task for video work.

I think that you could do it the way you're trying to, but here's a much more
effective way:
use "Map To Palette" in the process panel. Make color 0 white, make all other
colors black in the palette , then map. If that's not quite right, make a few
more colors near 0 also white, till the background converts just as you want
it. Should be a piece of cake.
Doing it in ARexx also should be trivial.
