QMouse V1.4 Bug?

I thought I'd give QMouse V1.4 a test drive on my 2000. Seems to work as
advertised. However, sometime after the screen blanks, a front/back gadget
appears in the upper right corner of the blanked screen – quite unexpectedly
and not the result of any other task. I tired quickly of timing the occurrence
a couple times. The first time it happen 15 min. 30 sec. following the last
keyboard input. The next time it occurred was 23 min. following the last
keyboard input. Once the gadget appears it stays there.
Anyone aware of this possible bug, especially the author Lyman Epp? The BBS
number in his documentation is busy all the time.

I'm making a guess here, but… The front/back gadgets in the upper left
of the blanked screen are just that- screen gadgets. It sounds like he's opened
up a black screen to cover the view, to darken you monitor. He must have just
forgotten to make the BackDropWindow full size, and therefore hiding the
gadgets.
As to the seemingly random times between blanks- probably mouse movements
count as input, so you would have to not bump your desk for the time you are
waiting.
