HELP Can someone tell me how to download a copy of each library directory so I
can read the description OFFLINE. Thanx
Michael, open a capture buffer in your term program and from each LIB prompt
type SCA/DES – most every week we update the Library announcement that gives
the file names, size and a brief description – so to keep current after you
have captured all the descriptions you can type ANN;5 from the Forum! prompt
every Sunday.

I believe there are files in each directory containing at least abbreviated
information on each file. However, if you want full up-to-date information,
you can do this:
Turn on your terminal program's CAPTURE mode and give it a file name.
Go into the library in which you are interested.
Type DIR/DES. This asks for a DIRectory of all files including a DEScription
of each.
Go get a cup of coffee, because this could take a while.
If you are interested in other libraries as well, loop back to the second step.
When you're finished, close your capture file, log off, and exit your terminal
program.
You now have a plain ASCII file which you can pull into any text editor and
peruse at your leisure. Don't forget you can use your editor's SEARCH function
to find any reference that interests you.

Almost-a-PS: Another way to do this is with Whap!, which automates the entire
procedure. Yell if you're interested, and others will fill you in.

Someone will please correct me if I am wrong – but I believe you can go to a
library and type SCA/DES and capture the description of that entire library.
Just remember to open your capture buffer before you do this.
