Well folks, I finaly got my 3.0 upgrade and would like to get some information
before I start formatting my HD. The Cltd manual does not say if I should
create a small regular Amiga Dos section then and the rest as FFS. Does this
mean I do not have to or do I combine both the Amiga manual and the Cltd manual
to come up with a faster disk drive? If so, then I can assume, that I would
first low format the drive and chance my mountlist to have a small section for
AmigaDos and I can partition the rest using the FFS.
After that I n format the partitioned sections ing format drive dh0: name.
Oh yes, can name the AmigaDos and the FFS section the same so that I have one
drive Icon? Or does one have to have two Icons, one AmigaDos and the other FFS,
and a third Icons if I decide to have another FFS partition?
Can anyone give me any advice from experience, that will make my task a little
less painful??

The choice is left to you on the FFS vs OFS. If you plan to autoboot a small
OFS partion is in order. If not, then you can FFS the whole drive or
partitions.
Autoboot is nice, however, I elected to FFS all partions for myself at home. I
really do plan to use the autoboot feature when available for the C Ltd
controllers. I will however enjoy the increased speed in drive access.
If you partition your drive, you will have to have seperate Icons for each. OFS
or FFS does not enter into it. Assuming you wish to access them via WB.
In the manual recomendations for new interleaves were given, I would low level
the drive under the new suggested one for your drive.
