Carlos, You are not "missing" the Pantone color file for uncoated paper, the mentioning of the uncoated file was an error in the manual. This one file should be sufficient and your printer can assist you with any concerns you have WRT color output, paper stock, weight, etc, etc. As…

This sort of problem represents the "flip side" to the advantages of Adobe fonts. If one has a lot of special manipulation to do with type, it might pay to invest in Compugraphic's versions of the faces you want to work with, which are shipped with a utility to convert…

I bought Illustrator to produce my Company Logo on my documents etc. I used the Auto Trace feature and worked on improving it. I then saved it as an Illustrator EPS format so that I would bring it into Xpress. However, when I choose "Get Picture" the Documents from Illustrator…

Uncoated Pantone may never be shipped because Pantone hasn't done it for Adobe. Illustrator '88 files should be no sweat with Xpress, we use them all the time. Tell me more… what have you tried?

I just finished purchasing both Adobe 88 and Quarkxpress and I am having a problem getting the EPS format to be recognozied by Qxpress. Also I am missing the Pantone color file for uncoated stock paper. This might seem as a dumb question, however I would really appreciate your help…

Jesse, Had a nice time, but don't get to see much of the area though. We flew in on a Friday afternoon for my brother-in-law's wedding on Saturday and then we left on Sunday. Fabian

Jasmine said, as you already stated, that both Jasmine and Adobe are aware oof the problem. They simply said the known problem was with the Mac IIs running color monitors, mono should be ok. The suggestion was to increase my memory (next week I hope) and try running under Multifinder.

Jesse, Just as long as you have Adobe Illustrator 88 1.7, you shouldn't have any problems with our SuperView II (formerly Graphix) monochrome system. Fabian Ramirez 76356,163 SuperMac Technology

Jesse, I wasn't aware that part of the problem was related to color monitors. Can you elaborate on what Jasmine said? I would certainly hope and think that there will be a solution, but don't want to venture so far as to suggest that you do or do not return…

Steve, I don't know if this has any thing to do with the problem your having but I have discovered that you may have various problems with sepatarations if you have negative numbers in your bounding box. This problem can be fixed in Illustrator by making the lower left corner…

Assuming that you want to create high-quality PostScript fonts, the only reasonable way (presently available to those outside Adobe) is to use Fontographer from Altsys. It is a good product, designed expressly to help you build a consistent look for your entire character set. The folks at Altsys are supposed…

Howdy all, I'm new here… I'm a cartoonist, looking for info on turning my cartoon lettering into a font. (basically for my own use, but I'm open to suggestion). In the meantime, has anyone else seen the wickedly funny Sony Walkman commercial withe the Japanese Macaque (sort of a gibbon)…

Adobe does not currently have an Amiga font product for sale. As far as the legal implications of translating the fonts, I'll have to check on that and report back. We had a discussion about Amiga products in our last staff meeting as a matter of fact, so your comments…

I'm working with AutoCAD (DOS) and PageMaker (Mac) and need a little help. AutoCAD can create a postscript plot file which can be placed in PageMaker and printed out on our LaserWriter IINT just fine. However AutoShade, Autodesks's rendering program, creates a postscript rendering file, and when placed in PageMaker…
