Thanks for the update, I hadn't heard about the compiler being native under XM. I would assume that it would require 5.5 since that's what's shipping currently. I imagine the run-time library has 5.5 dependencies in it that will keep the compiler output from being backwards compatible as well. Jeff

According to the manual the VT640 is compatible with the Tektronix Plot 10 software.
Correction: Digital will be releasing an RT-11 native C compiler. I don't have my notes in front of me, but you may be required to run the compiler under the XM monitor. Also, I'm not sure if it will be compatible with RT-11 V5.0; it may require a newer version…
Jeff, Digital currently does not have a C compiler for RT-11. There will be a VAX based C cross compiler with RT-11 as a target OS. It's supposed to be released this summer. There is a public domain C compiler available through DECUS, which supports RT-11, RSX and VMS.

A spec on the UNIBUS exists, but I don't think it's in anything that's currently published. There used to be something called (approx.) the UNIBUS Interfacing Handbook which contained chapter and verse about that bus, but it's been out of print for quite some time now. -Bill
