Ah yes, another feature for you, if you use a ' If you use the '~' character in the Dialing prefix, Starterm will wait 1 second before continuing to out the string. as for the ram:c/e problem, I've never tried it, but I will later on tonight.

Rod, that was a silly bug we kinda never noticed. The file 'Star.dir' is written to the root directory. but when starterm loads, it looks for 'star.dir' in 'ST.Stuff' directory. To correct this until I post a new revision is to copy the file into the 'ST.Stuff' directory. that will…

Larry, that's very interesting, and it's how I'm doing it in Starterm 3.0. I'm actually doing check on the number of characters in the serial buffer.. doing a block read, and then convert the buffer and do a block write to the console device. it works quite nicely. Jim

Mike, yes it would speed up the program, but it's not recommended to use in a multi-tasking environment. But if the program is a real cycle pig, go for it.

Mike, there is a Forbid() function. You would use Forbid when the program is using structures that another Task may use at the same time. It also disables multitasking until your Task executes a Wait function. To Exit the Forbidden state you have to call a Permit().

Larry, I have to disaggree here, you can turn off the flow control if it's written properly. You must set the SERB_XDISABLED in the io_SerFlags. Of course this will have to be patched in Aterm6.
