Exactly what sort of detection do you mean? I just started Crossdos, and inserted a PC disk, and the icon cam up for both pc0 and df0. zzzzz….. The Sandman…..
What, and miss out on having to deal with Commodore? What a loss that would have been . BTW, how is the big C over there in the States? As bad as here in Oz-land, where the entire country has one office?
Whenever you change any screen parameters, you have to have all drawers and windows closed. When you boot, one CLI window is open, at the front. The last thing the Amiga does when it starts WB is to close that CLI window, thus allowing your pallette to change.
Are you using WB1.3 by any chance? That would reverse the colors.
I installed MagicWB a little while, and nothing weird happened to me. Except that the unarchiving program that came with MWB wouldn't unarchive it. I ended up just using a different one, though, with no hassles. zzzzz….. The Sandman….. zzzzz….. The Sandman…..
I just paid for Autopilot, too. I paid because the unregistered version only allows you to access the Amiga forums. With the registered, you can use ANY forum. e.g. RPGames, Microsoft dos5.0 forum (yuck!!), anything on compuserver that is a standard forum.
Why the hell DID our beloved CBM include those two, dumb, blank keys? Any ideas?
From what I have read (although I can't remember where), CBM have stopped manufacturing PC's, full stop. Maybe that has something to do with it. zzzzz….. The Sandman…..
Try looking at some of the other areas around here. Someone outside the Emulators area was writing about PC 486 Emplant modules. zzzzz….. The Sandman…..
When I first used Compuserve, about a week ago, I too was using Term. I couldn't get it to DL anything either, even with the correct libs. I ended up using NComm to DL Autopilot. Big Difference!! Try it out, and I promise you won't be sorry. zzzzz….. The Sandman…..
Term was buggy, but it appears to be really stable now (ver 3.1). Does anyone know where I could get XPR libraries for B+ protocol? zzzzz….. The Sandman…..
G'day guys! Just had to point out that Richard Carde is a Sysop down here in sunny Brisbane, Australia. So, if you wanna leave a message to him, just dial +61 7 3006356. That's the BBS of the Commodore Computer Users Group. zzzzz….. The Sandman…..
Techinically, the Amiga, whilst slow, is years ahead of any Intel-based machine. Sure, the '040 might only do 40mHz, but you get a lot more out of that 40 mHz. I'm not brainwashed, either. I own both a PC and an A1200HD, after owning an A500. The PC is great…
What's so awful about Amiga software? I have yet to come across a commercial product I really don't like, either games or apps. I haven't seen too much PC comms software, but if anybody can show me something to match Term3.1, I'd be surprised. And how about DPaint IV? You…
What the hell does imho stand for? zzzzz….. The Sandman…..
Is the emplant available for the a1200? How long has the PC module been around, and how much? I do a lot of uni work on pc's, and it'd be great to be able to do it at home! The ol' A500 with AT-Once lacks a little in the speed…
