Robert, Yes after futher testing I have discovered that if instead of shelling to dos if I just "quit" 3ds prior to accessing the drive and re-start 3ds I will get access to the drive within 3ds. Best, Serg P.S.- the drive in question is a Sony CDU-33A

Hi all, I just finished swapping an older CD-rom drive for a less older one, my problem is that 3DS wont see it even tho everything with the drive seems to be working properly. I can even exit thru dos window and access the drive as normal thru dos prompt…
