I don't have any SCSI hard drives on my system yet (I will soon though), but I use the XM3301b with the Adaptec 1542b by using the ASPI driver from Adaptec, and the CDROM driver from CorelSCSI. It works like a charm. Steve

When I called Toshiba, they told me taht the 3301 is a single session drive, but that for $100 they would upgrade it to multi-session. The Corel drivers can handle the single session stuff today. Steve

When I spoke to Corel they didn't mention any need to remove the /XA switch in order to read normal disks. I will have to check that out. Steve
Yes, the XM-3301B is SCSI-2, and there are 3301A's also (B – internal, A – external). This drive is 325ms, 64K buffer, XA , 150KB. This makes it slower than the NEC, and faster than the Sony. Of course, the Nec is almost impossible to get right now – everyone…
