#16 bit Audio Message #9792
From: Kurt Lorentzen Amiga Arts Forum · Audio/MIDI January 12, 1989 3:56 PM
That's too bad that it might come off that way.We have a 16 bit unit that hooks up to our Atari. They are on the right track but haven't been able to pull off the software yet.I would rather see some sort of stand alone(as in NOT using the Amiga's internal…

Ron, I have three (64's) that are controlling lights at our high school and com. college. The theatrical department loves me for saving the budget.Thats why the 64 still exists. Kurt L.

David, I have had 1.3 WB/Roms for a while now as well as the GOMF 3.0 /button in my system with no problems. Now my biggest problem is that I haven't had any problems to test it out on! Oh-well, it gives people something to ask what that little red button…

Ken, The "C" directory is one of those things "hidden" by the wimpy workbench.I would suggest you get a program called Diskmaster (not PD by the way) if you would like to view your workbench disk(or any other disk for that matter) with the minimum of hassles. With that program you…

Doug, You said your drive is only a week old.Did you get it from Supra or from a different party. My asking is because the newest Supra drives support autoboot and I've had one on backorder since mid October.I didn't like the idea of paying $50 bucks down the road if…

Dan, From your mention of Seattle I'm going to assume that you must be in my neck of the woods.I live in Port Angeles, I have heard of a SB club in the Puget Sound area. The only data the would have to re-key would be on no more than 5-15…

How in the heck can it become a Mac clone when all the CLI power users want to keep the Workbench from being a usable alternative. One of the local banks uses Macs. I'm sure it's not because of it massive power (sure) but rather it's almost foolproof use for…
Hurray for WB Message #17775

Finally….YES let the CLI rot in hell!!!! I want the Amiga to be more user friendly so all the people that are thinking of a new system will will take it as being a STABLE machine.I can't see any reason to develope its "IBM" type CLI world with the state…

I think he means a non-interlaced non-flickering 640*400 display (the new chipset maybe)? That is ,IMHO, one of the major reasons for some folks not to buy an Amiga when they are looking for a workstation for use in Hi-res modes such as CAD and such. I won't be totally…

How does one become a "developer" so that he/she can start using these FFS on our Amiga's? I'm getting sick of listening to people talk about the faster disk speeds. 1.3 Workbench and the FFS words should not be allowed to be spoken untill it is ready for the rest…

Keith, I managed to trash my workbench and have since made up a new one. Guess what…..Everything is working fine now. Don't know what the hell I did but it works. I had tried a stock WB before and that same problem was there.I am using a fresh ( just…

Ok, what the hell gives. All over this country I am seeing messages that have to do with WB1.3. I'm seeing startup-sequences that call commands like resident, pure (small example)and the like that Amiga developers are getting to use. Now I don't mind so much that they are getting the…

Tim, thanks for being the brave one. I talked to the guy down in Portland and he seems to be Ok. My concern is over the fact that on CIS I've seen messages that say that doing something like this screws up the graphics timing( I don't know about these…

How about those 16 mhz 68000's that are being seen in Amiga World(June, page 74).They also come with a 68881 slot if ya want. If these work (I hope ) then a A-500 with that cpu and math co-proccessor should kick ass.
