#AmigaWorld gone?
Message #189549
If AmigaWorld is out of business, why did I receive a renewal form from AmigaWorld in the mail today?
#IM failure- help!
Message #82754
I have been completely unable to load any image of any kind, size or format into IM without the program crashing immediately, with a Program failed or Error msg #8000000B. I had rev. 9.19 and today received and installed rev. 1.50C. Each acted the same: crashed. I have an A3000…

I thought I read, a few weeks ago, that GVP was going to join this forum, but I still do not see them in the list of participating vendors. Did I get it wrong?

David, I have called Macrosystems within the last week (and GVP as well- but I will get to that in a moment.) I was told by someone at Macro- that "AGAemulation" is AGA resolutions, but that "Amiga animations" will not work properly. Now, the call to GVP…I was told that…

Ben, Thank-you for replying to my message. It was a pleasure to get as 1) I had forgotten I had posted anything, and 2) your message was interesting and informative. I will certainly look at Imagemaster. In the ad for HiddenImage software for the PC by Sehgal, it states that…

AmigaGames/Hahn-Wallace
Message #22714
Does anyone know what has happened to Hahn-Wallace Publishing (AKA H-W Publishing), who publish AmigaAnimation and AmigaGames, disc-based periodical? Months ago I called and gave them a credit card number for some PD disks, and have heard/recieved nothing. All their phone numbers have "disconnected" messages: (800)-THE-MAG; (800)-775-6711; (301)-595-0950; (813)-547-6711. There…

Bootcache
Message #12954
This is a wonderful utility! Under 1.3 on my A3000, I can again play Emerald Mines- my favorite game and the only one which would not run on my 3000. I disabled the caches using 'bootblock' in the utility, and the game runs perfectly. The .doc with the utility is…

Message #12953
I want to thank you for your help a few days ago. I have now downloaded LHARC and successfully decompressed BCACHE. And it worked! I am again able to play my favorite (silly) game, Emerald Mines, on my A3000, by disabling the 68030 caches before the bootblock, using BCACHE.

I have tried 5 or 6 times to download lharc.exe, first using access! and just now using BaudBandit. I have tried Comp B, QB, B+. Every time, I get the message "Failure during protocol initialization." I have an A3000. Could its 32 bit pathways be a prob? Any A3000 owners…

I thank each of you who kindly responded to my question about the 2500 v. the 3000. I have learned alot and am much more comfortable with my choice. In fact the only program I have been unable to run is a game: Emerald Mines. Somehow the game's copyprotection is…
#A3000 v. A2500
Message #28927
I have recently powered-up to the A3000, selling my A2000. Now I wonder if I have made a mistake given software incompatabilities, smaller case, smaller power supply, no bridge card-yet, hareware glitches, limits on RAM etc. I am considering returning my A3000 and powering-down to the A2500/30. Please share your…
