Where is it? A search on viewtek and viewers only turns up v1.03b Chris Cox
Patrick, My original A3000 motherboard had that problem. It turned out to be the display en [D [D [D display enhancer. C= replaced it tho' with every effort made to make it a good deal. I know C= is perfect, but thier GoldService has been excellent! Chris Cox
I've heard that the price will almost double, but that it's supposed to worth it…. Chris
Beats me! Maybe something about it is easier to use… I wouldn't know, since I've never used Lightwave either…So many packages, so little time… and money. Chris Cox
Jonathan, Thanks for the info. From what else I've heard, that's the ONLY object for format it takes…. Chris Cox
Doug, No, it just overwrote my startup, after making acopy of it. There's a reason why they warn about messing with the startup under 2.x+. Now I know to use the user-startup from here on out… Chris

Does anyone know what formats Aladdin 4D uses/reads? I'm aware of the EPS, Pdraw, and DCTV/24bit stuff, but I would like to know if it accepts either S4D, Imagin, or Lightwave object formats for input. All responses welcome! Chris Cox
Robert, What formats does Aladdin support? I know about the PDraw, EPS, DCTV and 24 bit stuff, but what about object model formats. Does it handle S4D, Imagine, or Lightwave formats. As long as it will read one of these, I am likely going to get it. Chris Cox
Peter, Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know about Vertex, so I'll give that a look see. Comments that I've gotten from outside Compuserve, indicate that Aladdin has been very well recieved, but I don't know if it just for the a animation end of things, or the entire modeling…
Steve, As far as I can tell, Real3D was originally supposed to be a 3D modeler with some animation capability. According to the reviews, it originated in Europe, and has gotten fair to good marks on the modeling when compared to Imagine. The animation part has not gotten good marks,…
Steve, I have been looking at Aladdin and Real3D, but haven't made up my mind yet. I was hoping to get some feedback from the experienced users in the forum. Maybe we can get a discussion going on what people feel is the best all around package around package? How…

Having just entered into the world of 24bit graphics, via DCTV, I've been looking at the 3/4 looking ito the 3/4D rendereing and animation. What packages are recommended? I have an A3000, so I should be set for the math involved, though I will say that raytracing would be nice,…
Doug, Stupid me forgot to add the proper path entries to the user-startup. They had been under startup-sequence… Thanks for the suggestion Chris Cox

HI Folks, I wanted to find a JPEG to DCTV format conversion utility, but the only one I've found on CIS requires DCTV.Library, which I can't find. Anyone know where I could find this thing? Chris Cox
