#117984 Flyers Message #118012
From: Pat Rizzo Amiga User Forum · Word Processing/DTP October 14, 1993 8:08 PM
Hey Mike, Thanks for all the usable information. You gave me so much, I really will have to study it all. What I thought was a cheap way to earn some extra cash may well turn into a real project. I can't thank you enough for your suggestions and I'll…

I'm hearing that the 300 dpi HP 4L printer isn't too good. Could someone elaborate on that? Wouldn't a 300 dpi laser be any good for simple flyers? Do you think I definitely need at least a 600 dpi? Perhaps I could do drafts of flyers on a 300 dpi…

I have an Amiga 2000 with a recently installed 68030 processor. I plan on adding a HP 4L Laserjet printer. What I want to do is creat flyers and ads for local businesses on my computer. Can anyone tell me what programs/hardware I will need to produce crisp, jaggy-free graphics…

Correction! The latest ROM is 6.01p, and it's been available on the ZyXEL Support BBS for awhile. There are actually newer versions in use also, privately for testing. On FidoNet's ZyXEL echo it is being said that a new version will be officially released in a matter of weeks.
HD LED? Message #35311
From: Pat Rizzo Amiga Tech Forum · Forum Business/Help June 13, 1993 5:08 PM
I have a simple question, hopefully someone will answer for me. Will an A2091 + Quantum 52S make use of the Hard Disk LED on the front of my B2000? If so, will the LED connect to the A2091 or the 52S?

#A2091 – 2090A Message #34877
From: Pat Rizzo Amiga Tech Forum · Forum Business/Help May 21, 1993 9:12 PM
I'm looking for a very inexpensive SCSI hard drive controller to use in my A2000 with a 50Mb drive. I've been looking at the A2091 which I've seen available for about $40. Then I see a 2090A for nearly $20. I'm hoping someone can explain to me the differences between…

Jonathan, Talk about this program has been making it's rounds on FidoNet for about two weeks now, and not a single person has seen it in action. All attempts to run this program have resulted in software failures. Simply put: It was an April Fools joke..
Deluxe Paint IV Message #30253
From: Pat Rizzo Amiga Arts Forum · Audiophile May 18, 1993 5:11 PM
I received Deluxe Paint IV not too long ago and just haven't been able to get into it. Is it a lot different then DPIII, and is it worth the upgrade price. Also, does anyone use anything they think is better than DPIV? If so, let me know. Thanks

Andy, No need to do a hex read to see what SetPatch does.. Just go into the CLI and type "setpatch". You'll get a message saying it's already been installed (unless you removed it from your startup-sequence), then you'll get a patch list.
#99732 Amiga 2000 Message #99770
From: Pat Rizzo Amiga User Forum · Amiga Hardware May 14, 1993 4:28 PM
Andrew: Thanks for your reply. My computer only "messes up" when the room temperature nears 80 degrees or higher. I work in Deluxe Paint IV quite a bit and that seems to touch off the problem a lot sooner than other programs. I may be working on a picture (usually…
#Amiga 2000 Message #99465

I have had a problem with my Amiga 2000 ever since I bought it 3 years ago. It seems to "overheat" in the summer time or whenever the room is too warm. When this happens, my graphics mess up or I get a "Guru Error." Has this happened to anyone…
