I haven't had a chance to check the entry interface very well yet, but I suspect you're right. One significant thought though, I have been having a great time re-arranging songs I had entered into Musicraft 1.0 (SMUS interface). Since Musicraft's (Sonix's) entry interface is very nice, that might be…

Nope, from all I've learned Music Studio files are not standard Anything. There's been rumors of: 1) an update to Music Studio, and 2) a public domain program to convert. Never actually seen either…but if you or anyone else does I'm exteremely interested. Rod

Great, thanks. Where and under what name does it exit? (We're talking about control software for the BSR X10 power control system right?) -Rod

Does anyone here know how Transformer sets serial baud rates? Is it from Amiga Preferences? Or does Transformer emulate the IBM serial card? Bottom line, I'm trying to get the X10 power control to work, and it comes with PC compatible software that wants to talk to the serial port…

Thanks Rick, I really just wanted to know where to reference folk who'll need it for the patches I just uploaded. –and apparrently I need to "discover" the new dls. I'm innocent of any beyond dl9. -Rod

ATTENTION MIDI USERS: A while back, I uploaded a simple patch librarian program for the CZ series synthesizers. Based on several requests, I am in the process of creating a generic librarian that can be configured to trigger, store and retreive the system exclusive messages from a variety of synth's.…

Someone left me a message yesterday asking if I had permission from Scott Adams for the use of the Pirate adventure. The message has disappeared, but the concern is valid and here is my reply: ARRRRRRRRGH! No, I didn't, and I really didn't mean to upload copyrighted material. By way…

Yup, its out and I've got it. Basically exteremely flexible, and when it says PRO, it means it. It's a midi recorder capable of recording live midi data including bend, velocity et. al., synchornizing with already recorded material, either as midi output, or with its internal synth. Editing can be…

I'm working on a CZ-101 patch librarian now. Tonight I got the CZ to output it's tone data, and collected it in an array. Now all that's needed is a user interface ("its JUST software…"). I'm working in 'C' because I'm not sure basic can keep up with the MIDI…

To get your CZ to use different instruments, be sure that you're in solo, and then setup your midi program to output on four consecutive channels (e.g. 1,2,3,4 ). If you're using Music Studio, I have a simple song set up for MIDI in dl1. Its a bunch of fun…

OK–It'll be in the next three messages (I hope). Here are my thoughts/impressions of Online!: Overall, it is useable, but decidedly unfriendly. In fact, it is the most unfriendly menu-driven program I have encountered. The menu structures invite mistakes. For example, the Archive menu for calling up parameters and phone…

Jim, Just downloaded Star.arc, anxious to trash Online! as soon as possible. Encountered a couple of problems. First, the program crashed a couple of times when I didn't have the ST.stuff directory set up. I think it happened again later, but don't have any helpful details (I'll get a record…

Don't know where you're located, but I bought Music Studio at HT Electronics, Sunnyvale, CA (corner Maude & Mathilda). I like the program (despite some problems). Instruments can be designed using up to seven of the first 31 harmonics (ohh, if only I remembered my Fourier transforms). It's mostly standard…
