Lou, would you send me info on the new phonedisc set? Isa it true you're here in Mass.? Phil
Robert, I beg to differ. I have the Toshiba 3401, and the adaptec 1740/2 Board. EZSCSI can be used temporarily by adding /norst to the end of the driver line (not in multisession). CorelSCSI definitely is supported, and in multisession. Corel says it's still testing the combo so they won't…
Beth, my 1993 PDR (free) lists the PDR Library alone on CD-ROM for $395, or $595 including the Merck Manual. Also, 1993 PDR Drug Interactions and side effects diskettes with indications, on 3 1/2 and 5 1/4 for $225. However, I don't think these are what you want. Just like…
Thanks, Adrian. Dwight Christal found it at a local show and was good enough to get me a copy too! I can't wait !! Phil
Will do, Randy. Thanks.
CROSSWORD CRACKER
Message #43471
I'm trying to get a copy of the Crossword Cracker cd-rom you put out. Any way we can arrange it? What would the cost be? Thanks. Phil
I didn't know that! That's great! I'll try to leave a message addressed to Nimbus. Thanks. Phil

Last years CD-ROM listing shows a CD-ROM called Crossword Cracker, put out by Nimbus Information Systems, distributed by Nimbus and Optech ltd, both in the UK. Does anyone know how I can get a copy of this disk? Phil
Ralph, how do I contact Thomas? Do you have any idea what the new 1993 prophone discs cost? Thanks. Phil
David, after your message, I called NCA. Spoke to a nice guy named Rick. Most helpful. Drives in stock, mine going out Fedex. I was ready to give up on Texel- another month for the multisession. I hope the drive works with the Adaptec 1740 Eisa board I have, and…
That's good to know, Jim. I've replaced chips in many things such as satellite rcvrs, radios, etc. How accessable is the chip on the CD-Rom player? Did they say anything about voiding a warranty? If I can do it, I might just buy the drive now- altho I'm also considering…
#Texel Multisession
Message #38197
I just got off the phone with Texel. I have been waiting until the multisession upgrade is installed rather than having to remove a drive, send it to them, etc. The question was: when will their drive be available with the multisession. Answer:in about 4 weeks (about end of February).…
I know Bill- I meant multi-session, not multi-speed (which they have already). Phil
I know, Harry. But I don't think they are ready for the upgrade yet- and I'd rather wait until I can get one already done, so I don't have to bother removing and shipping the drive. I hope it will be soon. Thanks for the input. Phil
Thanks, Richard. Word *was* that multi-session (not multispeed as I erroneously typed) Texel was to be available by end of December. Word also was that new Toshiba 3401 multisession would be ready this month. Vaporware strikes again, eh? I'll wait as long as I can, then bite the bullet! Phil
Don't forget, Bill- the 1542 is an ISA Board. The 1740 is a true EISA Board. Hope Adaptec helps you out. Phil
Bill, didn't you get driver software with your 1542? I just bought a 1740, which came with EazySCSi, adaptec's latest software. It covers most cd-roms. I had called adaptec before I bought my board- they told me that if I didn't get the EZScuz, to send them a copy of…
