#Overscan Message #128881
From: Mark Sloatman Forum unknown · Videophile June 9, 1988 1:04 PM
Hi Greg. What is the max _hardware_ overscan for the Amiga (low and high res, so that _no_ borders are visible). I've noticed that Deluxe paint still has borders in the default overscan mode. Thanks, Mark

Sounds like the width has to be decreased. The ST has a horizontal scan of 15769 versus 15734. Sounds like the width is increased to compensate on the ST, so on the Amiga it should be decreased. Which SC1224 do you have ? Power button on volume control or on…

Coming along on it, but it could be longer than first expected. Been pretty busy lately! Will try to finish it up soon, and get one to you to Beta test. What encoder are you using now? Mark
From: Mark Sloatman The Amiga Forum · Videophile April 21, 1988 1:42 AM
Thanks for the interest. It will take any Amiga RGB output and convert it to a nice NTSC signal. The outputs from most Genlocks are composite video; can't do much to help that. Mark

I see what you mean. It does do that! We designed the VideoKey to be accurate in phase and level. Thanks. Mark

What resistor did you clip? I don't suspect that's all it would take on the 1000's encoder. We probably won't have too many controls, folks like yourself can use them but others abuse them if you know what I mean. Unless you want us to make one for $200, then…

Better than what? Defineatly better than Commodore or C-whatever (can't remember the name!). What features would _you_ like? We have several options. Right now we have: Composite video (correct levels into 75 ohms) Separate Chroma and Luma RF output, channels 2 and 3 Audio in (for RF modulator) DB23 feedthough…

Greg, maybe you can help me out. I'm trying to get some of the animations in DL15 (I think) to run on my 500. There is one called Boinm that I tried to run. DL'ed it and MOVIE, ran it according to the instructions. Screen goes black, disk runs (seems…

I saw that one as well. Actually we may have one as well soon! Right now we are working on a NTSC convertor for the Amiga. It has better output than the ones available. I suspect that not _everyone_ will opt for a Genlock, because of the high cost. Mark

That's right, they put the GFA library there. DL0 is for everything that doesn't "fit" in the other DL's. Hope you're able to make some use out of the file! It's a little unclear in places. One, make sure you go by the silkscreen numbers for th MMU, and connect…

You've got it! Computers are (usually) a breeze by comparison, but TV service is normally seen as trivial. I had one set that would go into shutdown every two or three months. It was terrible, I always dreaded that call. If I tried to measure _anything_ in the horizontal circuits…

That's the way warranty should work, but it depends on the mother company, and what they pay for warranty service. It also depends on the dealer, and the agreement they have with the company. I used to do warranty work, and _never_ refused a warranty ticket. Did take a loss…
