One of my favorite songs. The Doug Udell tape was bought for the kids, but somehow it ended up in my car… "We are the music makers and we are the dreamers of dreams" –Willy Wonka BTW, a sequel to Willy Wonka is just in the idea stages. Title is…
thanks. was that response live or memorex? You've got the corporate response pretty well polished. unfortunately, siggraph is not in the budget. Adesk U is all we could manage for 94. See you there…
what plans (if any) are there for the CDK? Very little is heard about the future of this product, I hope that it doesn't get cut loose by the bean-counters. (like the original cyberspace thrust and other projects)

is there a place where compu-surfers can look to find prices on such items, or are we still forced to find that data on (ugh) paper? the mall just doesn't cut it.

just caught your thread. to avoid the dreaded "out of ram" messages on huge plot/prints I use RenderPrint (from Insight Development). It works with most of the standard image formats and outputs to most every printer/plotter around. We use it to send huge .tga files to an hp650c, with great…
3DStudio and NT Message #106130
agreed, Autodesk and Yost Group need to make 3DS available on NT. It would do them well to make a Windows 4.0 and a Unix product. The higher processing speeds on RISC stations would really help on large projects. Imagine doing some network rendering with a bunch of SUNs or…
#acad to VR? Message #98939
anyone have a good handle on creating an interactive walkthrough of an Acad model? Yes, I'd love to buy the CDK, but until I can show the boss the potential, the checkbook is locked up tight. How about a cheap, quick route. Less resolution, control, etc. I know, but just…

so, what does this whizbang system cost?
PS on LJ4, slooow? Message #132283
I am having trouble sending 1+ meg PS (and EPS) files to an HP LJ4. The LJ4 has 14megs and the Postscript option. We are running Netware 3.11, 10BaseT ethernet, and the LJ4 has the Jetdirect card. Everything is normally warp-speed, except the PS files. I understand that the LJ4…

I hope Autodesk listens to your comments and applies that logic to ALL their upgrade policies. We, the AutoCAD faithful, were shafted severely when the upgrade policy for R12 was announced. They better not do it to us with R13.

Just received her new tape "Outside Looking In". Good stuff! My favorite track from the Adesk CD, "My Own Two Feet" wasn't on it. Guess I'll have to get her first album too. Wild rendition of "Over The Rainbow" on the B side is hot, "Still Searching" is also good.…

I have the AIT, thanks. I hope they port it to Windows. The Asurf/Amill are being discussed by our company as we speak. Supposedly, May/June for the release(rumor). The AVL had a press release a few days back. I'm talking to my rep about it. I really wanted to let…

Autocad Iges Translator, Autocad Visual Link, Autosurf/Automill. Great apps, but when (if?) will they run on something other than DOS or SUN? Please let us know when these will be ported, or explain why not.
