AMosaic Forms Problems
Message #216180
I seem to be having problems with the "forms" function of the prerelease version of AMosiac 2.0. It appears to work fine except that the home pages act like they didn't get the information I filled in or selected. Does anybody know of a fix or know what I am…
Asha, >>But, if you want the hack I've got (it's tiny, 48bytes) I can uuencode it and send it to you in Cmail, or file attach it to you. Juan Ferrin just sent me a reboot program that works perfectly (this one is 84 bytes)! Thanks for the offer and…
Juan, Thanks for the suggestion but I only have Workbench 3.0. Cheers, Dan Wolfson
Asha, Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it and it would be perfect for my needs if only it rebooted without the requesters. You see, My primary drive (Western Digital) does not spin up fast enough to cold boot from. I can boot from my stock Seagate drive but then…
#reboot program?
Message #48159
I am in need of a standalone program that will cause a warm boot when executed. Any ideas? Thanks! Dan Wolfson
You might try downloading the gnu C++ compiler from this forum. It's large and will take some time but it works great on my A4000. It's free (except for the download cost). Can't find one much cheaper than that! Cheers, Dan Wolfson
#Commodore Stock
Message #197196
A friend of mine bought Commodore Stock several years ago (yeah, I know – whata dummy!). He was wondering if anybody knows what will become of his stock now that Escom bought out Commodore? Thanks, Dan Wolfson
Les, I have the same problem, except the new drive I put in was a Western Digital 540 MB drive. It works fine but won't boot unless I do a warm boot. I have posted several messages here for help, but have gotten no response. Hope you have better luck!…
deron, Remember me? I was having the problem the gnu compilers. Well, I think I told you that my problem was the way I was "uncompressing" my files. After I uncompressed them, the C compiler worked fine, but I still had problems (like you) with C++ guru-ing. I seemed to…
Deron, thanks for your response. I actually discovered the solution to my problem after reading of a similar problem in the AmigaUser forum. I was using LZ to unarchive my files and thought it was working fine. I didn't get any errors when it finished. However, I have since unarchived…
gnu help needed
Message #45948
I was wondering if somebody might be able to help me. I recently downloaded all of the gnu C, C++, and Objective C files in the Library (took me almost 2 hours!!). Anyway, I am having some probems. First, I wrote the infamous "Hello World" program just to verify evrything…
I tried unpacking the gcc++ file again, but no difference. It didn't have the stdio.h file but it did have a file called iostdio.h. Is this the same? Should I refernce iostdio.h instead of stdio.h? Also (excuse my ignorance here) you said that "crt0.o is a header file to link…
I did follow the Readme directions. I am trying to compile the infamous "hello world" program (should be easy, no?). First, it complained that it couldn't find my stdio.h file. I discovered that this header file isn't included in the gnu distribution. I then loaded it stdio.h from an old…
James, Thanks for the reply – although it was not the answer I was hoping for. It seems silly to have to upgrade the OS to boot off a different hard drive (the Seagate that came with my A4000 boots fine). I wasn't planning on upgrading the OS. If need…
Thanks for offering the help! I downloaded the all of the first 10 GCCxx.LHA files less the ones for the 68020 CPU (in other words the files that said they were for all Amigas). I "installed" them by decrunching them and placing all the files and drawers in a directory…
#gnu C++ problems
Message #45641
I have downloaded the gnu C++ compiler and am evidently having a problem installing it properly. I uncompressed the files but cannot seem to locate any instructions as to where the individual directories are supposed to reside in relation to each other or what "assigns" have to made for the…
#Hard drive boot problem
Message #185494
I have installed a Western Digital drive into my A4000 but the spin-up time is evidently too long (I can only "soft boot" off of it). I downloaded a utility that allows me to adjust the time period to try to boot – but I discovered I was already set…
Drive problems
Message #181192
Murray, Thanks for your reply. I took your advice and ran FDISK from within PC-TASK. I could only get it to show me the disk (actually a file emulating a disk) I already had set up as the C: drive. I could not figure out how to "see" any other…
#Drive problems
Message #179746
I just installed a Western Digital AC2540 540M IDE hard drive. I am having two problems. First, although it is a 540M drive, HDTools tells me it has only 515M. How can I get the system to see the rest of the capacity? Second, I have PC Task (version 2.01…
Thanks for the advice!! I'll download it now and give it a try. As for the labels, I really only have FinalWriter and was hoping I wouldn't have to buy a DTP package. If the driver you recommend works, I'll first try designing my own templates for FW. If it's…
#Printer Driver Help!!
Message #165792
I am another Amigauser with printer problems. I have an A4000/040 and an A1000, both of which I have tried with my Okidata OL400 laser printer. The printer claims it is fully compatible with HP LaserJet II. I have tried the stock LaserJet preferences driver as well as the one…
