#parout problems Message #196374
From: Garry Byrne Autodesk Multimedia Forum · IPAS Usage October 20, 1995 10:51 PM
i just loaded up your par library package. all works but parout. i call up a project and in the keyframer, i go to 'video post' and select 'add' which gives me 'KF scene'. i select 'edit' and get 'queue entry' dialog box. i select 'process' and the IXF selector…
thanks, my friend, that is what i will do! (what an age we live in)
Mike; see my reply to Paul Sanford, thanx
Paul: thanks, but my question has to do with the 3d editor and not the keyframer. i want to merge objects with their own lights and position them into my currant project. (unless you are suggesting i do this in frame #1 in keyframer? hadn't thought of that.)

#194511 No Auto Reflections! Message #194534
did you go into your reflection dialogue box and click on "flat mirror". i had a similar problem which was cured this way. also, do you have any objects inter- secting the reflection surface? do your reflection mapped objects consist of faces in more than one plane? that would definitly…

#need rendering farm Message #193525
From: Garry Byrne Autodesk Multimedia Forum · Take 5/Want Ads October 2, 1995 11:36 AM
i will have a great deal of rendering to do (about 8000 frames) and would like to find a service bureau with enough horsepower to do this in a few days time. they need to be 700x440x24bit field-rendered output to .ANI files. a P100 renders them out in about 6…
#Razor to PAR Message #193523
i have heard that Razor Pro may not render to a 2nd HD driven by DPS PAR. is this so? i would like to compile a group of animation files on drive D for instance and render them to a single animation complete with transitions to the PAR's second, or…

#net render to PAR Message #176435
From: Garry Byrne Autodesk Multimedia Forum · IPAS Usage June 21, 1995 11:11 AM
someone told me that there is an IPAS routine that allows one to render across a network while writing directly to the PAR's dedicated drive? is this so? where can I get this? price?
i recently upgaded to network rendering using 3ds3, 2 machines (p75 & p100), both use QEMM, plus PAR card. I use Netware Lite. When I attempt to render using the net queue option the systems will hang up before long and several attemps have to be made to finish the…

#pentiums or SGI? Message #164617
I would like some advice on hardware. I am in a position to purchase two p100 machines to network to my existing 4/66. I realize that it is also possible to get an SGI Indy w/ 3ds renderer for close to the same price. does anyone out there care to…
