Actually, the choppy video I was referring to earlier was what you've explained as the previously rendered frames. I guess I've been spoiled by looking at other (although less detailed) animations from other games that smoothly animate on this machine. The digitized scenes animate very smoothly, though and I've yet…

I'm running T7G on a 486/66 with VL-bus (rated video at 100%) and the panning is still kind of choppy. The CDROM is a Toshiba 3301 (150k xfer rate). I've just gotten a copy of Speedcache + 4.0 but have not been able to get a configuration that works well…

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Bryan. I've been looking all over trying to find the answer to that one! Norm

Thanks for the info, Bryan. I'll certainly let my friend know. Kind of embarrassed about asking but.. just exactly *does* "multi-session" mean? I thought I knew what it meant but I have a feeling it's not what I think!

I'll see if I can find a copy of Battle Chess and try it out on my system. I've already ordered Speedcache (backordered along with my Toshiba 3401)

I hope you enjoy 7th Guest as much as I have.

That's quite an improvement! How large a cache was used for that? The machine I'm running is a 486/66 with 8mb and a non-accelerator (ET4000) VL bus video card and a soon to be replaced Toshiba 3301. Norman

Thanks for the info, Roger. The main reason I asked was because I'll soon be getting my 3401 and I have a friend who's interested in purchasing my 3301 – he'll be happy to hear it's Photo CD compatible. BTW, have you had the chance to run stuff like 7th…
#49145 #Speedcache+ who? Message #49159
Thanks, Dai – yes I want it specifically for my CD-ROM drive. I'm using a Toshiba 3301 currently and waiting for my order for the 3401 to get out of backorder. I've heard many good things about Speedcache and when the 3401 finally arrives, it should be interesting to see…
#Speedcache+ who? Message #49135
Can someone tell me who makes Speedcache + 4.0? I haven't had much luck tracking this program down.

I've got a Toshiba TXM3301E1 CDROM drive and was wondering about whether this can be upgraded to read XA type disks. It mentions something about 'embedded XA' something or other in the specs but I have no idea exactly what this means. I've already placed an order for the 3401…
