From: Software Etc 137 AmigaTech Forum · Hot News and Rumors August 25, 1990 9:52 AM
In the course of message swapping w/ a Spectrum Holobyte rep in GAMPUB,it was mentioned that VETTE! for the Amiga is being cancelled due to lack of a developer. The code itself is rumored to be finished, but needs to finalized.Supposedly, the guy who did the bulk of the work is now gone. My…
Pen Pal Fonts Message #35143
I'm having trouble installing new fonts in Pen Pal. It seems that after I assign the fonts to my disk full of fonts, the requester recognizes the names of the new fonts, but when I actually use them, I get dropped to the bottom of the page, changing the colors…
#34744 #Animation Contest Message #34772
From: Software Etc 137 Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile June 12, 1990 10:45 AM
Hello..I have a question/suggestion fr the animation contest. Is it possible that in the future there will be separate catagories for the different levels of Amiga systems? The average Amiga user cannot possibly compete with the type of systems some of the pros are using. This would give the contest a little more…
#34067 Mandelbrot Max Message #34136
From: Software Etc 137 Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile May 29, 1990 2:12 PM
I have a theory that the spot on Gorby's head is a Mandlebrot that amounts to the number 666.Yuk-Yuk.
JetPage Message #32995
I just got a JetPage postscript emulation cartridge for my LJ IIP, but cannot see how to access the fonts built into the cartridge. The manual is IBM specific and doesn't breathe a word about Amiga. Anyone have experience with the JetPage? Chris

The expansion port appears unaltered. BTW, this new package is a much hotter seller than the previous setup. Chris
GIF viewers Message #32368
From: Software Etc 137 Amiga Arts Forum · Videophile April 22, 1990 11:34 PM
I've noticed several GIF and VGA viewers in the libraries. Are these to allow one to view an IBM GIF or VGA image? If so, does that mean that I could, for example, download an image from an IBM BBS and view it on my Amiga? I've been told by…
Amiga 500C Message #32361
Well, put the rumors to rest. I have several of the 500C packages. They arrived last Wedneday. They do have the Fatter Agnus. However, they do not have 1 Meg of chip ram. There are spots for the extra chips, but they are soldered shut. The board is labelled 512K/1…
#32046 #HP Laser and fonts Message #32059
From: Software Etc 137 Amiga Arts Forum · WP/DT Publishing April 16, 1990 6:02 PM
Well, what fonts are you using? Workbench fonts and Zuma fonts look bad to me. I agree that CG fonts look great and the ultimate solution is more RAM, but until my 4meg Baseboard arrives, I'm stuck.
#HP Laser and fonts Message #32035
From: Software Etc 137 Amiga Arts Forum · WP/DT Publishing April 15, 1990 10:33 PM
I have a 1 meg A500 and an HP Laserjet IIP. Unfortunately, the quality of the text that I am able to print is terrible. What looks decent on 24 pin fades on a laser. Even Pro Page leaves much to be desired. (Not enough memory for extended use of…

From: Software Etc 137 Amiga Vendor Forum · Precision Software January 26, 1990 4:14 PM
JP, How about exporting to Can Do? It has some decent graphing and supports AREXX. I'll have to grab a copy off our shelf and see if it'll work well. Thanks for the assist. Chris
