I bought one of the "dell" floppies. It's a very slim external floppy. It works perfectly with my 2000,1200 and CD32 system (all of them are 3.1 OS). It doesn't have a pass through so it will be the last external drive.
Viewtek 2.0 will do what you want although for Jpegs on a AGA machine I prefer FastJpeg. Both are freewhare
The problem with most IBM people is that as soon as you mention something other than IBM, especially Amiga, they tend to glaze over and go into convulsions:) I think I will have to find a book about Photo Shop and see if it mentions anything about FrameStore. That's cause…
Sorry to be so hopelessly ignorant. Your not ignorant,,,you just don't know (BIG difference) Mod files are the Amigas standard music modes. Best player is caled player. Midi files need a midi interface which run from 40 – 100's of dollars. Mods are realy great,Diskmaster2 and probally Opus will play…
PCfloppy in A2000

I bought the Dell drive just for shapeshifter. It's external and does not have a pass through port so it will be the last drive on your system. With WB 3.1 it works perfectly with Cross Dos for IBM floppies. I haven't tried reading mac files yet as I've been…

Hey Tom glad to see you found this place 🙂 thanks
WE use Amigas On our Mobile TV truck. Does anyone have or know of a source for pre-made sports graphics in any of the amiga formats? We Especially Need Basketball graphics. With transition,ImageFX or adpro you can convert any graphics from just about any other platform to the Amiga.
#SX32 – new CD32 add-on
Message #214881
problem: You cannot use a MPEG card together with the SX32 expansion. That's no problem. Mpeg cards for the CD32 are extremely rare with no plans on ever being made again.
Use the program called Twin.lha I transfer files between my 2 amigas and the 486 all the time.
I strongly recommend Twin.lha. It hooks up to your serial ports using a null modem cable. It can go as fast as 112,000 baud. Your Amiga can still multitask (your clone won't be able to) At the Dayton Computerfest I was using twin while playing mods and showing a slideshow…
I have a cannon BJC 600. It prints really great when it's not in the shop. I've replaced the PURGE unit 3 times under warrenty. That thing cost 348 dollars. Go with the HP printer. Cannon s cks.
If Expert Services still carries the picasso II buy from them. Otherwise you will have NO Support. I learned the hard way.
You can still use Brilliance, just not in 256 color or HAM8 modes Thanks. My problem is I can't even get into Brillance,my 2k 030 picasso crashes everytime time I click on the Icon. Sure would be nice if someone would make a reasonable price 15" multisync monitor. I did…
Cool very cool. I'm presently stuck rendering VP on my CD32 system as my 2000 does not have a Multisync monitor and there isn't any room on my desk for a 3rd monitor. I'll probaly buy your dos CDrom version for the files,do you think they could be read on…
There should be gfx-card support in the latest DPaint and VistaPro. I have Vista Pro 3.0 is there one later than that? I've read where Dpaint5 will not work on the Picasso II. For productivity the Picasso II is really nice but I need a paint program like Brillance for…
.the board will not work on a 68000 cpu,and maybe because they don't deem it necessary as there was a mpeg card for the 2000…but out of production, and it was a n expensive thing $600- and it also encoded i think Well the CD32 has an EC020 and the Mpeg…
Thanks. Too bad it's one of those internet things. Between that and those stupid keyfiles I'll end up a cloner. I'll never be able to convert any more people over to the Amiga. Seems you have to have a clone to access the WWW and be able to read German…
I have disksalve and it crashes my 030 2000 and my stock 1200. I can scan and repair the drives just can't exit out without a very hard crash. Mayby it's 3.0 related.
Cdrom in a 2000

I'm having a problem geting a Plextor Scusi CDrom to work in my 2000. My 2000 has WB 3.1 a GVP 4008 scusi controller with the Guru Rom installed. I put the 3.1 CD0 Icon in my workbench startup drawer. My problem is the plextor wil not let me eject…
TurboCalc
Message #210012
TurboCalc is a really nice spreadsheet for the AMiga. IT seems to do everything my Lotus spreadsheet does and it only cost 50 dollars.

I have a dealer here in Columbus Ohio. He should have a 4000T by now. I will check on it Monday Aug 28th.
If your using a Panosonic printer that is normal (ejecting a full page after you are done printing)

It pretty much sounds like you are having a serious hardware problem. I assume you have problems with your printer cable or CIA chips. The hardware checked out fine. On the manual try to find a new Amiga user have them install your software and write down all the questions…
That's a dang shame! One of the accelerator articles mentioned that the cache on the Pentiums are what give them the speed edge Yes but windows negates any speed advantage 😉

Be carefull installing OS/2. I ended up taking it off. I got tired or reformating and installing it. For me the experiance was worse than Windows.
#Picasso II
Message #209633
I installed a Picasso II on my 2000. The only programs I can't run on it is Electronic Arts Dpaint,Deluxe Video Deluxe Music,Vista Pro and Brillance. It seems if the software uses the custom chips it won't work. Turbo calc,Termite,On The Ball,nImagie 3.0,Diskmaster,Final Copy & Final writer,Pro Draw Pro Page,Pagestream,Disksalve,Bad,AIBB,Sysyinfo…

I'll agree iwth buying the 3.1 rom and disks but the manuals are not worth it. Keep your 2.04 manual it's much better. The 3.1 manual doesn't explain anything. It's terrible really sad. I bought 3.1 when it first came out. It was worth the 175 dollars.

#Cybergraphx Where?
Message #209627
If Cybergraphics went commercial who do I get it from? (preferably the people closest to the ones who wrote it)
Thanks,I've read where some cameras were not compatible.
My 2000 with a picasso II card let's me run quite a few programs. So far only some of the art and game pakages don't work. Turbo Calc,Termite,OntheBall,Final Copy work great at any resolution. Basically anything 2.0 compliant should work

I am doing something. I'm dragging my CD32/SX-1 system to the Dayton Computerfest. Me and some of the other users in our usergroup have 2 tables. We will be surronded by cloneheads but it should be interesting.

I have 3.1 on my 2000. It's much better than 2.1. My only complaint is with the manuals. Whoever wrote them has to believe that only amiga owners buy amigas. They are useless.
You can't trust anyone on TV or in politics.

I use my Amiga for everything and only lack a few upgrades to having the software I want. After that I will be content for quite a long time. If I upgraded a program everytime someone released an upgrade I would have to get another job. I make decent money…

Tens of millions 486/pentiums being sold. Like my company they bought at least 500 486 or pentiums to run thier equipment. My wife's employer probaly bought over 1000. I have no figures but I would bet 80% of the computers being sold are to large companies. Most of the 286/386…
My cannon BJC600 refused to print any color and printed text in a really wierd format. I finally hooked it back up to the 486. The primera would only print using diskmaster and then it didn't look very good. Primera sent me thier 4.1 driver for the Amiga so that…
I have a quantum lightning pro scusi II hardrive on my GVP4008 equipped A2000. It's not any faster than my old quantum lps hardrive. Just thought you might want to know that.
There are several members in my user group that really like excellance.
One problem with your upgrading a 2000,there isn't a warp that fits in a 2000 and there isn't a picasso with 4 megs of ram. Or if you know how to do these things I would appreciate the info. The 060 for the 2k hasn't been released yet (Phase 5…
AtalkIII will speak whatever is written on the screen. Quite handy during boring chat rooms.
My primera without the dye sub mode prints much better than my Cannon BJC 600 and so far is much more durable. I make all of my prints with the Primera driver in printer prefs and use Brillance 2.0. The main thing about the primera is you must have very…
First Dpaint does a horrible job at painting screens. I'm not sure about adpro as I do not have it. Primera has a new driver version 4.1 for the amiga that does a really nice job. You need to get the dye sub kit for dye sub prints (another 200…
Get twin.lha and transfer those files at 115,000 baud useing a null modem cable. Twin will read any hardrive directory from either machine and has the MSdos and Amigados versions in the archive.
I have Vista Pro 3.0 is there any way to get to work with the Picasso II card? Very nice program and I may eventually get the dos cdrom version.
Download the gif file that starts with a Z (zgif). It's much faster than the older gif datatype.
Would you know where someone can get a black and white camera to work with your old Digiview 4.0 cart and software? Lot's of us are still 10 years behind 🙂

Have you tried thecybergraphics software pakage? I heard that Imagine would not run on my Picasso II but so far it seems to work. I'm still trying to figure the program out though.
