#6421 #AA Pro Fonts Message #6502
From: Eli Willner Autodesk Software Forum · Autodesk Animator December 9, 1991 8:22 AM
Thanks, Jack. I've got SoftType, so converting the fonts to HPLJ format will be no problem. (Did I miss this somewhere in the docs? Couldn't find it through the index!) Eli
#AA Pro Fonts Message #6419
From: Eli Willner Autodesk Software Forum · Autodesk Animator December 6, 1991 10:22 AM
What is the font format used by AAPro? I understand that it is possible to convert fonts to be used by AAPro; how is this done? I have a bunch of inhouse fonts that I'd like to use with the package. Thanks for any assistance. Eli

John, that message means that there isn't enough space for your file in the DL you attempted to upload it to. Our primary Sysop, Chuck Sadoian, can reallocate space to correct the problem. In the meantime, please try to upload the file to another DL (say, DL0). Chuck or I…
#6188 STREAMLINE Message #6194
Rod, I use Adobe Streamline together with Corel. It's a dynamite combination! Streamline even has a menu option for generation of output explicitly compatible with Corel Draw (in .AI format). As for scanning maps, I haven't tried that. But from my experience, you'll probably have little trouble with outlining areas,…

Lori, please do. I don't want to bother her if she's so busy, but you might want to let her know that if she passes by our way (New York City) she's most welcome to visit us again. Eli

Bryan — How large is your document? We have done manuals as large as 300 pages with no size-related problems on toc or index. Eli

If I may jump in, I think that Ventura's indexing facility is good, but its toc facility isn't. In general, multichapter publications aren't handled as well as they might be. Ventura doesn't automatically handle page numbers from chapter to chapter — you've got to note where one chapter ends, and…

Steve — Having tried both, I think Ventura is by far the superior package. There is little you can do with PageMaker that you can't do in Ventura — and alot you can do in Ventura that you can't do in PageMaker. Ventura, which uses Gem instead of Windows, if…

There are two files in DL3 of IBMSW that can decompress files archived on a Mac for use on a PC. These are UNSIT1.ARC, which works on .SIT files, and UNPACK.ARC, which works on .PIT files (the kind generally used on this forum). Eli
