It sure sounds like someone copied the style and shots of your animation… but if they re-created it themselves, did they truly infringe on your animation? It's not as if you animated Snoopy or Mickey Mouse, and could pursue them for using a well-known or protected animated being. I think you've done the right thing: alert everyone you can about these copy-cats, and chase down the people who did it.
