Won't the Windows version of Razor Pro function under NT?<< I think all of your points are will taken, but from a manufacturers standpoint, you have to look at two things typically when working out pricing. 1st what is the market size and what is your investment in the product. 2nd, what will the market dictate for similair products. If you look at the 1st .. surely the market for an NT version is much smaller right now than for a generic Windows product. When looking at the second .. what the market will support or is supporting for similair products .. you would hope that the price you calculate in the 1st case is smaller that what the market will support (or is supporting) otherwise .. don't build the damn thinkg. Well .. lucky for Jamie (in:sync), the other products that are going to be running on NT and are doing similair things are in the price range of $3k – $10k (AVID NT, D-Vision, FilmMaker). So .. actually $1,500 is a very aggressive price. Since both products (Razor Pro and NT) and since Jamies company is small .. it would be too difficult to not have the upgrade price be anything less than the differential in the list prices.
