Hi Tim,
I haven't been gone really, just doing something else than computers. 🙂
First time I had this trouble was when I boned a dino. I made some mistakes
and thought that they caused the trouble. So I started from scratch again
avaoiding all the mistakes, but exactly the same problem. I tried a different
object (the cow), but the same again. After a time I tried again, but again
this trouble. It's some time ago now and I haven't done any complex bones
objects since then.
So I'm a kind of able to reproduce the problem or maybe I'm only able to
reproduce my own mistake all the time without noticing it. The funny thing is
that it only happens when I use IK, not when I forward kinematics (the good
old way). BUT I haven't tried it with 3.2. Maybe something has changed since
3.0 and it's solved now.

No, I have boned many objects and didn't have trouble.

PS: you never looked at my banana animations, did you?
PPS: I think I have just found a solution. I'm not 100% sure if I found the
right thing but at least I'm now able to use IK with the dino the way I want.
🙂 No, I'm not going to do another dino animation. There are already too many
dinos and I can't see them any more. <g>
