I did notice the lack of ray tracing in the 3DS MAX info when so many people
had it as a wishlist item. I think Yost Group did they right thing. They opened
up the program to allow ray tracing, or any rendering type (radiosity!), to be
added by third parties. That also meant they didn't have to dedicate time and
resources to writing their own ray tracing code when there are others who
already have a head start (ie Rayman).
