Rick, went into a ultra-tiny electronics store on a lark, and wouldn't you
know…they had the battery! Only 3 bucks too. Life can be fair.
I tried the cable out and it works too! The mic has a low-imp output. Specs
say 150-ohm balanced output with an output level of -50 dB. I'm plugging the
cable into my MT1X where each input has a slide from mic to line (-50 dB to -10
dB) and everything works great with the slide in the mic position. This mic
seems to put out more signal than my old cheapie mic.
Anyway, I don't understand how a cable makes a difference in impedance? I
thought a transformer was needed to change impedance.
