James, whenever I have a problem with the last frame of an amination, I simply create the anim in Action with an extra frame, render all frames, and disregard the last frame. (This solution also applies to looping animations, at least before Imagine added a "looping" button.) With regards to your current problem, simply create your animation so that the first 2 frames and last 2 frames have no motion in them. This way, the first and last frames will not flicker, regardless whether they've been field-rendered or not. Blaq!
