John, Take a lot of art classes. Most of the stuff you are going to learn in the computer classes is going to be obsolete by the time you get out but the art and design experience will life with you a lifetime. Unless you want to program, programs like 3DS and even the big boys (or should I say big bucks) don't require programming skills to do animation. But on the other hand, if you don't have good desing skills and a good knowledge of color, you are never going to be worth as much as the guy who has these skills. Other good classes to take might include classes on film or if your lucky and your school has classes in classical animation. Andrew McClary Graphic Alchemy
