#Imagine Europe

Hi Mike.
Yes, it's me again. I just write to ask you something… if someone write in
the forum something positive, you allways are happy, and you give him an
answer. If somebody write anything, which is critic, or ask you about the bugs
or promised feautures which are not included, you'll NEVER give an answer. I
don't find it ok. Sorry, but i think i'm not the only one, which is thinking
like this. For a product like IM users need support, that's correct. IM is not
a cheap software, nor easy to use. The support itself is not really bad, but
what i said before, if there are positive things – then the support is ok.
Otherwise….
Well, i don't think that i'll get an answer, but maybe you think about this…
Bruno,
I answer all questions good or bad, sometimes I dont answer stupid or
inane questions because it is not worth my time. We encourage people to air
the complaints or negative questions that they have. I think for some reason
you have been sidetracked, so from you message I have no idea if you have a
complaint other than not getting a response to negative mail, If you message
was this, then I can only assume my answer here is sufficent for your perusal
and review. We all at IMpulse encourage you to be as candid and as open as you
wish,.
As for the price of IMagine,. It is very low indeed, and for the
learning curve, I think all 3D programs have some form of difficulty its the
basic nature of the beast,. However there are many who will help you with your
problems, other users are here as well as Impulse.
Have fun and we look forward to your critical review.
Mike
Hi Mike,
Thanks for your reply 😉 As i said allready in my message yesterday, i don't
find that IM or the Software are garbage, or something else. Why i was so
angry, was that i wrote at least 4 or 5 times to ask you – where is my IM 3.0 –
and i've got no answer. At least, you could drop me a mail, that you'll check
it if its on the way. Also, i've never read that a user from europe got his
package. That was the reason why i asked you, only for to know, if we in europe
have to wait a little bit longer.
I know also, that the specific help in the forum is great, and if i have
questions about troubles in the software, i know, that i'll allways find
another user which can help me. But it make me sad, when i only can READ about
the "BONES","100 Textures" and so on. I like to try it myself, on my copy of
Imagine 3.0. And normally the mail is not sooo slow. Maybe you remember, i've
been waiting for my copy of 2.9 five month, after you relaesed it. (Ok, first
i've got a wrong disk..). And i don't like to wait another five month.
About the price: For the price of +/- $600.– Imagine is a very good product.
What i would say is, that $600.– are not nothing for a private user.
Ok, lets forget about this. Had my bad day, yesterday 🙁 still waiting on my
3.0 … (btw. could you check it, if it's on the mail ??)
Thanks..

Bruno,
I think the way a message is presented is at least as important as the content.
A message that starts "Hey, your product is a total piece of crap because . .
." is not as likely to get a productive response as "Can you help me understand
. . ."
Software vendors and developers (I'm one too) are people. In general, they have
feelings, they work very hard, and are proud of their efforts. No matter how
hard they try to put out the best product possible at the lowest price in the
qucikest time frame with the best support for a broad range of skill levels,
some people just want to bash them. Hey, the money isn't that great to put up
with too much B.S.
Any program as complex as Imagine is bound to have a few bugs- jump on the ACAD
forum and read a few 3DS horror stories, or for that matter, the forum of any
vendor making a semi-serious application. In addition to those, note the
numerous, trying questions from people who didn't RTFM (read the fine manual).
Even though these questions are bound to annoy the support folks, they answer
most of them graciously, except maybe the ones that start with "Hey you
scumbags, this program is total garbage. It won't . . . Your company is a fraud
. . . etc. ad nauseum
Trying to start a flame war with the people who are trying to help you is
seldom a good idea.
Submitted for your consideration,
Ed
Hi Ed,
yes, you're right. But you don't know the whole story. And my patience is
limited. And i've tried the way you like to see. But with no effort. Read my
mail for Mike, i'm a little bit "cooled down", today.
And for the software itself… yes i know it is very hard to make software,
also i know that a software NEVER will be perfect. But why promising things,
(i.e. JPEG-support – i don't know, maybe it is included – didn't got my 3.0),
when they could not make it in the next release ? Better to say: Here it is…
and this are the feautures…
i don't buy a car, only beacause it will have "soon" a model with -don't know-
extra large airbag or 200 different colors.
I don't like flame wars… and hope you'll understand my point of view.
Also for your consideration…
